The Hideaway is a traditional detached stone cottage converted in 2005 to provide high quality and luxurious accommodation. The Hideaway has achieved 4 star grading from Visit Scotland.
The Hideaway is designed specifically for couples.
There is a large bedroom, bathroom, open plan kitchen and lounge and a garden with patio area. There is under floor central heating throughout in addition to a wood-burning stove. The Hideaway is detached and self-contained and entirely non-smoking. The accommodation is not designed for children under 16 or pets.
Bathroom
The bathroom is more akin to a mini spa. Designed for pampering and relaxation, guests can stretch out in the heat of the sauna, cool off with a cold shower, then lie back and luxuriate in the double ended jacuzzi bath. Complementary bathrobes are provided.
The Bedroom
The king size four-poster bed ensures you will have a very comfortable sleep and wake feeling rejuvenated. Lie in bed and take in spectacular views of the local countryside through the French windows, which lead on to the private patio area.
The Lounge
The wood-burning stove is the focal point of the open plan living area. Let us know if you would like it lit ready for your arrival.
A flat screen television, DVD and video player and CD player and radio are provided together with a range of DVDs and CDs - you may also wish to bring your own.
An extensive range of books, magazines and maps are available together with tourist information and suggestions for local walks and cycle routes.
The settee doubles as a bed for any friends and family you may wish to have to visit while you are on holiday.
The Kitchen
The kitchen has a range of modern integrated appliances including a washer/drier, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, oven, hob, and combination microwave and grill. A wide range of additional appliances, crockery, cutlery and utensils are provided.
The Garden
The garden is self-contained and offers privacy, especially from the patio area. Table, chairs and a barbeque are available for eating alfresco. Off road, secure car parking is located next to The Hideaway. In addition, walkers and cyclists can dry out wet weather gear and store walking boots and bikes in the lockable shed provided.
